Citizen App Reporting Driver

The Citizen App does not have a specific feature dedicated to reporting drivers (such as reckless or dangerous driving) like apps such as Waze or local law enforcement reporting platforms. However, you can still use the app to report incidents involving drivers, such as:

Reckless Driving – If you witness dangerous driving, you can report it under categories like “Traffic Hazard” or “Public Safety.”
Car Accidents – You can report accidents, crashes, or hit-and-runs to inform nearby users and emergency services.
DUI or Suspicious Activity – If a driver appears intoxicated or involved in suspicious activity, you can report it as a public safety concern.
Road Hazards – Issues like stalled vehicles, debris, or roadblocks can be shared to warn others.

While Citizen App primarily serves as a public safety and crime alert tool, serious traffic violations should be reported directly to local law enforcement or 911 if there’s an immediate danger.

Using Dashcam Footage on Citizen App:

  1. Report the Incident – Open the app and report the situation under the appropriate category (e.g., “Traffic Hazard,” “Crime,” “Public Safety”).
  2. Attach Video – If the app allows video uploads in your report, include the dashcam footage as evidence.
  3. Provide Details – Give a clear description, such as vehicle make, color, license plate, location, and time of the incident.
  4. Engage with the Community – Other users might have additional footage or eyewitness reports.
